TELLURIUM DIETHYLDITHIOCARBAMATE

TDEC
Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate

Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate, TDEC, also referred to as Ethyl tellurac, is used in rubber processing as an accelerator that produces high modulus vulcanizates, particularly in IIR compounds.

Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate is used for making inner tubes of tires and soft tubes and isolating layers of wire and cables.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is widely used to manufacture extruded EPDM rubber sponges for Automobile doors where partial rapid curing is desired before the rubber is blown.

Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate (TDEC) is an accelerator for natural- and styrene-butadiene rubber.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is a highly effective dithiocarbamate accelerator for natural rubber, SBR, EPDM, NBR, etc.
Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate is primarily active as a butyl rubber accelerator.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is also commonly used for NR, SBR, NBR, and EPDM compounds.
Generally, TDEC is used in combination with thiazole modifiers.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is an ultra-fast accelerator for natural and synthetic rubber compounds.

Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate can also be used as an activator for thiazole and thiuram accelerators.

Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate is available in powder and oiled powdered form.

The recommended addition of dosage of oiled powdered form is 0.1-2.0%.

The typical usage level in EPDM sponges is 0.3 parts.
Higher levels give a good compression set, but blooming can occur.

When combined with thiazoles, thurams, and dithiocarbamates, accelerators can accelerate the vulcanization of EPDM and IIR.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate can shorten the vulcanization time.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is particularly suitable for high-oil-content soft rubber compounds such as low-hardness solid EPDM seals or spongy seals due to the reduction of the vulcanization rate caused by a great deal of softening oil.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is compatible with NBR, SBR, AR, and ECO.

Tellurium Diethyldithiocarbamate is used in vehicle and building seals, vehicle hoses, steamproof & acidproof hoses, cable jackets, and insulated products.

Benefits of Tellurium diethyldithiocarbamate:

Allows very fast vulcanization
Non-staining, non-discoloring
Provides increased tensile strength and modulus
